Lordear 36'' x 12'' Rectangular Built-in Stainless Steel Shower Niche

The welds were rusting inside the niche. The welds were not properly sanded and buffed. The outside corners of the face plate had sanding scratches and were not properly sanded or buffed also. One edge of the face plate was dented. It was sent in a cardboard box with no protection.

Made creating a niche in our new shower much easier. Easy to tile over. Works as described.

Fit and finish were as advertised.

What a wonderful surprise it was when I opened this shower niche it really is beautiful and looks great in my shower.

This shower niche comes with instructions for installation. There is a lip all the way around the opening. The lip is about 5.5 mm deep (I'm not talking about the width). It will sit on top of the tile, NOT flush with the tile. You will need to caulk all the way around it. The lip is nicely finished. No seams are visible. (You can see the seams at the corners on the underside, as expected.) The finish of the entire box is kind of shiny, even though it's brushed. It doesn't get fingerprints on it, which is nice. The brushed finish has a visible grain, so you should direct whoever is installing this to orient the grain either vertically or horizontally, according to your preference. It is heavier than I expected. It definitely will withstand the weight of shampoo and conditioner bottles without any issues. My spouse tested it for waterproof-ness and it passed the test. Seems like a good quality, durable shower niche box.
